Lendlease Wins Approval for Final Collins Wharf Towers

A render of the completed Collins Wharf precinct by Lendlease at 915-1055 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne.

Development giant Lendlease has won approval for more than 900 homes across its Collins Wharf project.

The precinct at 915-1055 Collins Street in Melbourne’s Docklands comprises six highrise residential towers.

Victorian planning minister Sonya Kilkenny has now approved the final three buildings of the project, which will add 915 apartments to the city’s housing stock.

The first of these final three is a 28-storey tower designed by Ewert Leaf and Kennon Architects comprising 349 apartments.

Architectus designed the other two towers, one with 375 apartments over 28 storeys and one with 191 apartments over 16 storeys.

There will also be a public park designed by Aspect Studios with more than 1500sq m of open space and a large central lawn with a terraced timber lounge and native plantings.

Lendlease completed the first building in the precinct, No 1 Collins Wharf, in 2019 and is scheduled to complete the second, Regatta, in 2026.

The third, Ancora, is scheduled for completion the following year.

When the precinct is completed, Lendlease willl have provided more than 5000 homes at Victoria Harbour and more than 6500 homes at Docklands.

The Collins Wharf precinct will have six buildings with one completed, one under construction and four more towers and a public park approved. 915-1005 Collins Street, Docklands, Melbourne.

It is also working on the three-tower Gurrowa Place project near the Queen Victoria Markets in the CBD.
