Villawood Properties Finds New Place In the Sun

V

Australian developer Villawood Properties has established a new Queensland office in Southport ahead of the launch of its two new Gold Coast residential communities.

Founded in Victoria in 1989, Villawood has developed more than 60 masterplanned communities along the eastern seaboard.

This year, it is expanding its Queensland operations to diversify its land bank and take advantage of key growth corridors.

Villawood Properties has leased 110 sqm on level six of 64 Marine Parade, Southport. It previously occupied an office at 11-13 Station Street, Nerang.

Villawood Properties co-Executive Director Tony Johnson (pictured centre) said the new Southport office provided the ideal headquarters for the company’s growing Queensland operations.

“The new Queensland communities are part of our aggressive three-year growth strategy and combined represent a total land value of $50 million,” he said.

“The new Gold Coast communities will allow us to showcase our ability to create innovate and sustainable communities at the leading edge of urban design.”

Villawood Properties has also bolstered its management team in Queensland, appointing Christopher Ciuffetelli (pictured right) to the role of Assistant Development Manager in Queensland.

He joins Michael Williams, Villawood Properties State Manager – Development (pictured left).

Christopher previously worked as a commercial property valuer at LandMark White and as a sales agent at Coldwell Banker Real Estate.

In his new role, Christopher will support Michael in the development of Villawood Properties’ two new Gold Coast communities – a 89ha development at Helensvale, called Elandra, and a 233ha rural-residential development at Kingsholme, called Montego Hills.

Montego Hills, located at Kingsholme, will be officially launched on May 31 and will be marketed by property services group Oliver Hume. This acreage community consists of 150 lots, ranging in size between 4,000sqm and 8,000sqm. The other new community, located at Helensvale, is expected to launch in 2016 and feature a new display village and more than 2,000 lots and apartments.

Villawood Properties is a privately owned company, founded by Rory Costelloe in 1989 and today operated with co-Executive Director Tony Johnson.
