Lang Walker's Walker Corporation has officially launched the design competition for the 90-storey Aspire Tower in Parramatta, which will become New South Wales' largest apartment development.
The four short-listed firms are Bates Smart, Fender Katsalidis, DBI Design and PTW Architects after considering proposals from both local and international firms.
Speaking to The Australian, Mr Walker said, "All of the firms have a strong track record in designing iconic and significant residential towers and we are confident they will all meet the challenge in this very exciting project."Mr Walker has announced he has selected John Pilton Walker to design the neighbouring commercial towers. He had competed with Francis-Jones Morehan Thorp, Bates Smart and Mario Cuccinella Architects to win the project which will include up to 140,000 square metres of commercial space.
