Welcome to Clyde Central—A New Hub for the South-East

RPM Group, a prominent name in property and development site sales, is celebrating its longstanding partnership with National Pacific Properties (NPP) spanning back to 2006.

The collaborative relationship has resulted in significant progress for Melbourne’s growth corridors with several landmark projects, including Park Central, Kallo, Wellington Rise and, more recently, Eliston.

Eliston, launched in 2015 and currently shortlisted for the 2023 UDIA Award for Masterplanned Communities, serves as a prime example of RPM Group and NPP’s dedication to shaping vibrant communities and the role of integrated mixed-use developments in Melbourne’s greenfield sector.

“Eliston has made its mark as an address of choice, which is evident from the continued sales success despite the challenging market—a clear sign that the already thriving community will continue to grow,” said Luke Kelly, national managing director of project marketing at RPM Group, who worked closely with NPP from project inception.

Proving their expertise extends to every stage of the project lifecycle, RPM Group’s transactions and advisory division recently launched an expression-of-interest (EOI) campaign for the Clyde Central development site, which forms the southern section of the Eliston community.

The 8.2ha site on Twyford Road holds immense potential for a mixed-use development of the highest calibre. Notably, it also stands directly opposite the future Clyde Railway Station; positioning the development as a transit-oriented hub.

With most of the surrounding residential area now fully developed, the Clyde Central site is primed to service the local population at the heart of Melbourne’s south-east growth corridor.

Zaynoun Melhem, Victorian sales director of transactions and advisory at RPM Group, said that the site’s significance was underscored by the rapid growth of the region. “Clyde has been growing in recent years and will continue to grow.

“In fact, our research forecasts the population will increase from 13,993 this year to 40,847 by 2033. That’s an average annual increase of 11.3 per cent.”

Clyde Central’s prime location and proximity to major amenities presents a unique opportunity for developers looking to tap into a thriving market.

Ed Wright, national director and head of transactions and advisory at RPM Group commented, “This [site] is the perfect mix of projected population growth, comprehensive infrastructure plans—including the future Clyde town centre, Casey Fields South PSP, and Clyde South PSP—as well as location. This means the potential for long-term growth is incredible.”

Wright said there had been a shortage of retail and commercial enterprise to service the booming population. “Clyde Central has the potential to deliver commercial, retail, medical, childcare and so much more.”

RPM Group specialises in development site sales across the east coast of Australia and has recently launched an expressions-of-interest campaign for Clyde Central, closing at 4pm, Thursday October 19, 2023.
