West End Apartment Plans Fine-Tuned as Build Goes On

Red & Co West End EDM

An updated development application has been filed for Red & Co’s eight-storey West End apartment development.

Dubbed Adagio, the development at 21-23 Kurilpa Street in the Brisbane suburb was originally approved in May.

Developer Red & Co want to deliver 35 two-bedroom units as part of the project as well as a basement and roof terrace with a pool and communal areas.

“The project will take advantage of all the lifestyle, education and infrastructure that West End has to offer and is perfectly positioned to take advantage of all Brisbane has to offer in the lead-up to the 2032 Olympics,” the developer said.

The updated application inclues a considerable number of minor changes and arose “as a consequence of detailed design outcome and the commencement of construction”.

Changes include additions of two more carparking spaces, inclusion of water tanks, reconfiguration of the ground level as a consequence of some level changes that have resulted in the introduction of a ramp and stairs.

Other adaptions have resulted in slight changes in building height.

Completion is due in December, 2024.

Privately owned developer Red & Co has worked on a series of Brisbane developments, such as two 45-townhouse developments at Mango Hill and North Lakes as well as another 52-apartment under way at Newstead.

It has also dabbled in small build-to-rent projects, including a nine-unit complex in Wooloowin, and projects at Greenslopes and Holland Park.
