Chinese developer Wonder Property is preparing to launch its first Melbourne project in Doncaster East, adding to its $150 million development pipeline with projects in Ivanhoe and Donvale.
The developer's site in Doncaster East, 22 kilometres north-east of Melbourne's CBD, was acquired last year for $18 million from the Uniting Church of Australia who owned the property for 35 years.
The 1.3-hectare site located at 152 Andersons Creek Road, dubbed "Anderson's Creek", will offer 58 townhouses with three- to four-bedrooms over two and three levels.
It will feature eight different product offerings, targeting a wide community of buyers that include young families, downsizers, and first home buyers.
“We have three key projects at various stages and are excited to be launching our first project, Anderson’s Creek, later this year,” Wonder Property’s managing director Will Xu said.
“At Wonder, we believe that a focus on lifestyle is key in delivering projects that will be loved by residents for years and decades to come.”
“We carefully craft our residences to make sure no space is wasted, and we discuss every design possibility, to make sure we deliver the best product to our purchasers.”
Anderson's Creek will be launching in later this year, with completion anticipated late 2020.
Wonder Property paid $4.2 million for the 3,886sq m Donvale site at 99-101 Old Warrandyte Road last August.
The project is currently in town planning, while its Ivanhoe project is in the concept design phase.
