Woolworths' new Brisbane Office Headquarters is now completed.
The supermarket and grocery chain pre-committed to 3,300 sqm commercial building located in Brisbane Technology Park at 21 Brandl Street, Eight Mile Plains in early 2015. After an extensive search, this site was selected with a stand alone new office building facility and staff accessibility proving major factors in the decision.
JLL, Greystone and Trapp Architects were the major parties involved in the transaction.
In a bid to transform culture at the troubled retail giant, new Woolworths chief executive Brad Banducci will reportedly send new staff to 'supermarket boot camp' before they start at the company's headquarters, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Banducci took over as head of the retail giant in March 2016.
The project was reported as complex as the land being developed was comprised of two lots with two different owners.
In 2001, the Queensland Government appointed Graystone, Development Manager of Brisbane Technology Park.
Graystone has been intimately involved in the planning of the park and delivery of most of the buildings. The developer has now acquired the remaining land on-site from the State Government and is planning 19 buildings in various configurations.
Realestate.com.au is currently advertising the opportunity to "join Woolworths" and lease at the location, offering office spaces of up to 1500 sqm.
