Developers Harness River Goddess To Create New Logan Community

Sequana-Central-Park-HR_02_620x380

Villawood Properties has unveiled plans for a $55 million riverside community at Logan Reserve named 'Sequana', based on the Gallo-Roman word meaning ‘river goddess’.

Sequana will be nestled along the Logan River with 340 metres of scenic river frontage, and will be home to an estimated 950 residents.

The developers said their project will offer prospective buyers the unique opportunity to secure a place to build their home in the sought after Logan Reserve area, while offering features synonymous with Villawood Properties’ philosophy of creating thriving sustainable communities.

Villawood Properties Executive Director Tony Johnson said the new community is one of the only new developments in the area that has been master-planned to take advantage of the Logan River, and will be an easy choice for first home buyers and owner-occupiers looking to build their family home.

“More than a third of the community will be dedicated to green open space, nature reserves for the Rainbow Bee-eater, walkways, river access, two dog parks, a state of-the-art playground and kick about areas to cater to a diverse range of future residents," he said.

“We anticipate that a high percentage of buyers will be locals wanting to take advantage of Sequana’s enviable location, the amenities and access to some of the best schools in the area.

“The value for money for owner-occupiers in the Logan Reserve area is evident with recent statistics showing the Logan Reserve primary school catchment zone has experienced up to 40 percent property value growth in the past 12 months, making it the second highest growing area for property values in Australia,” Mr Johnson said.

Located 30 minutes from Brisbane and 45 minutes from the Gold Coast, Logan Reserve is located in close proximity to public transport, local hospitals and Logan Central shopping precincts.

Sequana will be Villawood’s fifth project for the Queensland arm, having completed Miramar at Casuarina and Essencia at Dakabin. It is also currently developing the Kingsholme acreage community - Montego Hills and The Surrounds at Helensvale.

Villawood Properties is continuing to grow its portfolio in Queensland with the developer set to announce a number of acquisitions over the coming months.
