Edge Visionary Living, a joint venture between local developers David Hillam and Gavin Hawkins, has filed plans for a luxury apartment project at Crawley near Perth’s University of Western Australia.
The 1413sq m site at 168 Broadway is opposite the Steves Bar and Cafe and near JH Abraham Reserve, QEII Health Campus, Matilda Bay, King’s Park, Nedlands Yacht Club and the Nedlands Golf Club.
Hillam Architects designed the plans for the project proposed for the waterfront site, which comprises a seven-storey building with 21 units, multi-purpose lounge, wellness garden, outdoor terrace, gym and sauna, and a quiet lounge and dining room.
There will be two penthouses on the seventh floor, and four sub-penthouses on the fifth and sixth floors.
The other floors will have a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments. The ground floor will also have eight carparking spaces with the basement level adding 39 spaces.
The site currently has a three-storey apartment building completed in 1963, a one-storey building and a carport.
The project, if approved, is scheduled for completion in 2024.
The joint venture between Hillam and Hawkins is also behind such projects as Riviere Residences in Applecross, where three buildings up to 14 storeys are now under construction on a waterfront site.
Other projects in the selling phase include a 115-unit, two-building project, The Dunes, at Scarborough on a coastal site overlooking Scarborough Beach and the Indian Ocean, and the Lumiere project at 74 Mill Point Road, South Perth.
The Crawley plans are currently open for public comment.
