Melbourne-based developer Hirsch & Faigen has filed plans for its “most ambitious” project to date, a $240-million residential tower at Broadbeach.
The 31-storey tower would be the developer’s fourth beachside project in just four years, lifting its total Glitter Strip portfolio to more than $700 million.
The Marbella project, led by Daniel Faigen and backed by Eddie Hirsch, co-founder of United Petroleum, is slated for a 1012sq m site at 7-9 Surf Parade, Broadbeach.
The Rothelowman Architects designed-scheme includes 100 apartments, children’s play spaces, work-from-home facilities, a “wellness precinct” and shared dining spaces.
Pending approval, Hutchinson Builders are expected to start construction on the project in September.
The new build will replace two older double-storey apartment buildings on the site.
No doubt Hirsch & Faigen will be looking to repeat the pre-sales success of its three previous Gold Coast projects—all sold out prior to construction getting under eay.
Hirsch & Faigen chief financial officer Anthony Bueti said the Broadbeach section on the Gold Coast had quickly become a new luxury precinct.
“Marbella is the product of everything we have learned to love about the Gold Coast,” Bueti said.
“With the likes of Mosaic and Abedian & Co also launching quality projects in the area, the transformation will cement Broadbeach as the premier lifestyle and amenity suburb on the Gold Coast.
“We continue to remain very confident in the high-end Gold Coast property market.”
The developer is edging closer to completion of its latest project, Yves Mermaid, which follows Emerson Kirra Beach and Hemingway Palm Beach.
Nearby, Bassar Group, developers of the Infinity tower on Surf Parade, filed plans for a 33-storey tower on Anne Avenue in March.
That residential tower plan comprises 56 apartments and a pool, dining area, gym and wellness spaces above the podium.
